Murchison Centre is available for event rental daily until 4.30pm seven days a week, plus Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.

Should you want to provide your own refreshments and/or use your own AV equipment for your event, this can easily be arranged. Please be aware that all events held at the Murchison Centre support the programs and services of the Canadian Mental Health Association of PEI through the Murchison Foundation Inc.

Event Cancellation

An event may be cancelled, at no charge to your organization, if you provide us with a minimum 72 hours notification in writing. In the event of bad weather or a family emergency 48 hours or less of cancellation notification, the event organizers will be liable for payment at 50% of the event cost.

Large Event Bookings are priced per event, please contact Melanie 902-628-3655 for personalized event pricing. Please ensure the setup details you submit are accurate as we always strive to prepare the meeting space in accordance with your instructions. 

Schematics & Description

The layout options listed below are examples only to give the potential user an idea of the relative size of the rooms available and some possible room layouts to consider.

The schematics depict Theatre (no tables), Cabaret (rectangular tables), U-shape (using rectangular tables) and Classroom style layouts.

Other layout options, as listed in our online Rental Form, are available and include the following:
Hollow Square (using rectangular tables), Board Room (using rectangular tables) and Other (using your imagination!).

 

Layout 1 The Blue room (smaller room) with a Theatre style setup plus a head table can seat about 80.To view a schematic of this setup, click on Layout #1.
Layout 2 The Blue room, with a U-shape setup can seat at least 22 people. To view a schematic of this setup, click on Layout #2.
Layout 3 The Blue room, with a Cabaret style setup can seat about 36 people (seating 6 at each table). 
Layout 4 The Blue room, with a Classroom style setup can seat about 48 people (rectangular tables using one side only). To view a schematic of this setup, click on Layout #4.
Layout 5 The Red room (larger room), with a Theatre style setup can accommodate a minimum of 160 people (using the elevated space along the LHS).  To view a schematic of this setup, click on Layout #5.
Layout 6 The Red room, with a Cabaret style setup can seat about 72 people (using round tables and the elevated space along the LHS).
Layout 7 The Red room,with a Classroom style setup (rectangular tables) can seat about 96 people (using the elevated space along the LHS). To view a schematic of this setup, click on Layout #7.
Layout 8 The Purple room (combining the Blue and Red rooms), can seat just over 300 people Theatre style. To view a schematic of this setup (showing a setup for 245 people), click on Layout #8.
